About the 2017 Quad Cities Pollinator Conference
The 2017 Quad Cities Pollinator Conference was held on September 13 and September 14 at the River Center in Davenport, Iowa. 180 attendees participated in sessions on “Bees, Butterflies, and Beyond,” “Woodlands and Wetlands,” and “Crafting Conservation.” Wednesday’s dinner keynote, “Networks for Life: Your Role in Stitching the Natural World Together” was presented by Dr. Douglas Tallamy, Chair of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology from the University of Delaware. The conference concluded with opportunities to participate in a rusty patched bumble bee citizen science project or tour the Bettendorf, Iowa Wallace’s Garden Center location.
